Re: Dating when you're a package deal? horseface: Beats the heck out me why someone would not want kids. I have three of my own but they are almost grown. I have a good friend that has two kids that are 9 years old and it doesn't bother me a bit. I would date a women that has kids - without a second thought.
I love the things that kids do - its fun to be around them.
Re: Dating when you're a package deal? tisa: I agree with you horseface. I have 4 kids of my own, and would rather meet someone with kids.
Re: Dating when you're a package deal? meplusthree: Well...here I am again, and yep...I'm still done. Went to see Shopgirl last night...bad movie choice for me... :-\ its about a gal who falls in love with someone who is great to her and who comes to love her but isn't IN love with her...she finds her own, but will always be in love with the guy. They have a great relationship, except he doesn't love her...and doesn't commit to her...they are friends with benefits except she's IN love.
Mr. Previous said that if my kids were older and almost out of the house then he might be able to see a future but he didn't like being a dad the first time around and he didn't want to do it again. That's all cool, but I'm also looking forward to being a Grandmother someday and hanging with my grandkids for FUN! So, he's right...it wasn't going to work...didn't stop me from beginning to fall for him...
Wrap that heart up in tighter barbed wire and just steer clear. I don't know where to find the guys that would take on kids...I live in the "american dream" neighborhood...everyone is married with children, or already remarried with children...and they found their spouse through friends...I must not have very good friends! HA HA HA. They are married, or they are single and looking just like me. Except, I'm not looking anymore...Mr. Wonderful is going to have to search me down and woo me into believing that its worth undoing the booby traps.
